I often play the modern era (2018). In the game, you can choose which country you will play as and many things, like whether you release a vassal or how much they will pay you, but also what ideology you will have. The only two points out of ten I take off are because I think the editor is too complicated and it could be made easier, that’s one point, and the other is because the AI in the game sometimes works terribly. It works fine regarding wars, but this morning I tested giving France a lot of good territory, and they gave me 1 coin and didn’t accept it, but when I didn’t ask them for that coin, they accepted it. So maybe if the AI gets better there.

es un juego de conquista basico pero muy bueni

One of the most underrated strategy game. Age of History II have simple gameplay, especially when compared to games like Hearts of Iron IV. Despite its relatively low difficulty, it's surprisingly addictive and can keep you play for a lot of hours. Unfortunately, the game still has some bugs. The biggest issue is that many Steam achievements (especially the ones related to conquering provinces) are broken and require manual fixes to unlock. This takes away some of the satisfaction of playing. After around 50 hours, the game also starts to lose its challenge. Becouse that's enough time to get all steam achievments and after you build a large empire with 2,000–3,000 provinces or more, there isn't much left to test your strategic skills. Even with constant assimilation, rebellions keep breaking out, which becomes more frustrating than challenging and slows down your expansion. Finnaly, the game was developed by just one person, Łukasz Jakowski. After all I had a lot of fun for 80+ hours of playtime. Overall: 8.5/10.
