This is a good game, I like the art, and it's a fun little loop, but it feels... I dunno, weirdly unfinished? I don't know if there's a story around it, if so please tell me, but it feels like there's stuff missing here, and I don't just mean unlocks. Like, there's a freaking A.M. knockoff you can fight with his own dialogue and units, but you can't actually play as them. Why? There's a system where you get chests to unlock banners and profiles, but there's only 5 of each, and not even enough to cover all the characters in the game. Why? There's a ton of REALLY COOL and funny dialogue between all the characters and factions the first time they meat each other, but there's no way to have it pop up again after the first time you see it. Why? There's like this... Currency, system? But you never have to interact with it to buy stuff since everything is done by trading, it's only used for rerolling, upgrading cards (kinda?) and unlocking new card borders I don't even know how to equip. Again and one last time, whhhhhy? Besides that I love the actual gameplay, I hear it's like Crash Royal but without the toxicity and, assuming, pay to win meta bs. Art is POGGERS. Units interact very well with each other. For 3 dollars you get a very nice little game it's just... Again, it feels like stuff is missing and I don't know why because it's not an early access, it's released, and it's been out for a year so... I dunno man, what's up? Again, good game just what's with all the missing/limited features?

Aestheta is a super enjoyable short indie game with a lot of potential. The game balance reminds me a lot of the game Plants Vs. Zombies Heroes (a wild comparison I know) where sometimes you can lose in a manner that leaves you dumbfounded at how outplayed you were. However, as you get better at the game you start to hone your skills and be able to do these outlandish strategies which leave you with a real sense of power. Continuing with the comparison to Plants Vs. Zombies, the game gives the player the opportunity to feel like they have built up a powerful team and allows these moments of enemy vulnerability that help empower the player. Overall I would recommend this game as a pretty definitive short indie game experience that almost gives off the energy of flash games in charm and creativity. Here are a few fun moments I experienced during my playthrough:
My favorite unit in the game is the nekomancer because I enjoy flooding the opponent with small units. I managed to find a pretty powerful strategy where you get the relic that lets you disregard the cost of your units and go into the negative. Then in combat you summon two nekomancers at the start and spam the invisibility potion on them. It worked in most cases but the opponent could still hit the nekomancers with their abilities or during the short time while the cooldown for the potion was still active.

When I first tried the mime unit out it shot itself out of the map and then proceeded to stay outside of the map and walk over to the opponent's tower. For a moment I actually thought that was the unit's ability instead of it's actual ability of having knockback.

I made a whole deck entirely consisting of units that either summon more units or spawn in groups. Once again, I like flooding the field with troops and stumbling upon the units necessary for the strategy was an absolute treat.
it isnt a perfect game because it has too much but but game dev a pretty chill guy and he is fixing a lot of bugs, if you like roguelike me and wanna play clash royale with no p2w elements its the perfect game for you.
holy goons.
Very fun and addicting. Clash Royale, but without microtransactions and toxicity. Enjoyed completing all achievements which are balanced in difficulty to obtain. Definitely a 9/10, would love to see new updates for this game!
good gameplay for the cost
The game is entertaining; if you want to have a good time, this game is for you. The art style and references to Clash Royale are present, which gets a few laughs. The game is basically a combination of Clash Royale and a dungeon crawler where you collect cards and/or power-ups to reach the boss. It's worth buying if you want to have a good time or if you don't have internet access, hehehe. 7.5/10 - Recommended
It's good, bought it in a bundle of all the dev's games, I had to adjust to the thinking of this game because I haven't played many like it. But for the price and there sin't anything else to pay for yeah this is absolutely worth your time/money if it looks interesting to you pick it up.
