Nostalgic times!
Came back to AQ3D after not playing for a long time and honestly, the nostalgia hit me way harder than I expected. The game definitely isn’t perfect. Combat is still pretty simple, there’s a lot of grinding, and sometimes you can tell AQ3D is showing its age. But honestly that’s also part of why I’m enjoying it again. Running around Battleon, seeing familiar characters, farming random cosmetics and just exploring the world again brings me back to when AdventureQuest games were a huge part of my gaming life. There’s something about the Artix humor, the music, the ridiculous weapons and the overall atmosphere that other MMOs just don’t have. I came back expecting to play for maybe a day or two just for nostalgia. Instead I’ve actually found myself getting hooked again, working on my character, hunting cosmetics and discovering all the stuff I missed while I was gone. It’s not the biggest MMO and it’s definitely not the most complicated one, but AQ3D has its own charm. Sometimes you don’t need some massive MMO with 50 different systems to learn. It’s nice being able to log in, relax, grind something and just enjoy yourself. If you played AdventureQuest/AQW growing up and haven’t touched AQ3D in years, I’d honestly say give it another shot. Feels good to be back. Battle on! ⚔️
honestly a good old school mmo obvious ptw but havent seen any times where it mattered or impacted my game
Well it definetly has its moments because of its predcessor 2d version, but personally locking it game's map to level 10 is kinda bit absurd especially when the tutorial quests end at level 8 and therefore I think there should be continuation of what to do and which quests to finish in order to not get lost because after certain amount of years this game became really big in content department so there should be appropriate help involved in order to make players not to want to quit the game after they end early main missions that's plus also a some sort of map or minimap also would be really helpful because sometimes you need to do a quest in 10 areas over yander and you need to backtrack it if you don't know where to get teleport stone back to batleon so there's also this conundrum so yeah I guess thats all of my negative points i have about the game because I know personally im barely even scratching the surface I cannot make full fledged review, but i hope that either I in time get better in this game and will understand it better or I may stack up wtih my other favourite games like eterspire in deleted pile of games in general so personally I think I'ts a great adaptation for anyone who had a chance to play this game when it was only 2d version so I guess I would give solid 7.5/10 on higher end because while playing 2s version back in the day I had kinda well developed character only now im kinda struggling to start anew yourney in this awesome nostalgia filled game
Too fun!
