Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 15 → 1.2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

this is one of my favorite deck builders. its fun co op and single player. i love taking random characters and seeing if i can do anything with that lol. yeah the dlc is a little but pricy but imo with the amount i have played it, it makes it worth it. overall i 100% recommend this game, its almost addicting
An excellent card battler RPG, has many playable character types (I love the Frog Bard and the Mindflayer Healer), fun interplay with damage types/buffs/character skills, good artwork, music that has no business being as good as it is, and by nature of it being a party based RPG it is fun to play with friends. My biggest gripes are some DLC got extra achievements and some didn't, and some quest are random so you might not see them for a long time and those are how you get some characters

I love this game very, very much. There's a lot of good card roguelikes out there, but this is the only one I've found that's actually built for a multiplayer experience. There's regular significant updates, a lot of wonderful content, and yes, I get it, people are complaining about the paid DLC, but the game was comfortably complete at base with lots of content, and the DLC is (mostly) good stuff. Buy the base game. Play it. From there you can decide if you want the DLC, but if you want more and more complex Slay the Spire that you can play with your friends, this is it!
Its good but I can't recommend it maybe if its discounted then yes. I thought I was gonna be able to unlock some of the characters but they are locked on an expensive dlc... You can only play 4 characters. If you're looking for something close to Slay The Spire, you might aswell buy Monster train 1 and 2 and that is complete with everything and scratches that Sts itch. Trust.

should have paid for the boat
Overall, Across the Obelisk is a fun and engaging deckbuilder. As someone who enjoys Slay the Spire, I appreciated how this game takes deck-building strategy to another level with party composition, character synergies, and deeper customization. Whether that's a positive or negative depends on what you're looking for—there's a lot more depth, but also a steeper learning curve. Runs can be fairly long, and the amount of mechanics, heroes, and build options can feel overwhelming at first. While I enjoyed experimenting with different team setups, some of the newer heroes felt a bit more complicated than necessary. I also think the DLC packs are somewhat overpriced, and the additional heroes often feel stronger than the base roster, which is a common concern with paid character expansions. Despite those criticisms, the game is still a lot of fun and offers plenty of replayability. That said, it's not the kind of game I can binge endlessly—I usually complete one or two runs before taking a break and coming back later. 7/10 – A deep and rewarding deckbuilder with strong replay value, but long runs, a steep learning curve, and pricey DLC keep it from being an all-time favorite.
I wish i could make a mixed review, Yes the game is good and very fun to play but there are some balancing issues, the main concern just like everyone here is that every update seems to be hidden behind a paid dlc. this game has 4 different maps and if you want more you got to pay for each map. ok it comes with an extra character but people buying a game expect to get the future updates with it aswell without having to pay for it. this is not a game like that. its very enjoyable but its damn annoying that every new thing needs to be paid and therefore i'll leave a negative review. not for bad gameplay but for a bad way of handling things.
Great co-op experience. i'd recommend this to any card game fan.
Recommended Across the Obelisk is a roguelite deck-building RPG released in 2021, and while it may initially look like another Slay the Spire descendant, it quickly proves that it’s doing several things differently—and in many cases, better. One of its most distinctive features is full co-op support, which is still rare in the genre. Even without spending much time in multiplayer, it’s easy to see how well it fits the party-based design: planning builds together, coordinating turns, and collectively dealing with bad outcomes feels like a natural extension of the game’s systems. A typical run consists of three main acts followed by a fixed final act, with branching maps, optional dungeons, and minibosses along the way. While the first act is always the same, later acts offer meaningful choices between different regions, adding strategic variation between runs. Recent DLCs even introduce alternative endings, further expanding replayability. The core of the game is its four-character party, built around the Warrior, Scout, Mage, and Healer archetypes. Each character has a unique deck that defines how they play, and while decks reset each run, talent trees persist between runs. This roguelite progression system steadily unlocks new builds and strategies without making early runs feel pointless. Some DLC characters even combine archetypes, opening up extremely powerful synergies at higher difficulty levels. Town upgrades add another layer of long-term planning. Between acts, you can buy gear, upgrade or remove cards, and fine-tune your decks. Over time, towns themselves become more capable, allowing deeper customization and making the game feel far less dependent on luck than many other roguelites. Resources are cleanly separated: gold and crystals for cards and equipment, supplies for town upgrades. Rewards from completed runs can be saved and selectively applied to future runs, giving you control over how much of a head start you want. After finishing the game, Madness mode unlocks, letting you customize difficulty through modifiers that increase both challenge and rewards—a great system for experienced players. All of this combines into a game that strongly rewards planning and experimentation rather than brute force or lucky draws. If you enjoy roguelite deck builders but want deeper customization, less RNG reliance, and long-term strategic progression, Across the Obelisk is an easy recommendation. I spent a lot of time with Slay the Spire, but I ultimately enjoy this more.
