Absum really surprised me in the best way. For Mixogames’ first game, it’s got a super creepy vibe that kicks in right from the start. The house constantly shifting around you is freaky in all the right ways, and the little story bits you find actually make you want to dig deeper. And the jumpscares? Yeah… they got me. More than once. Always hit right when I let my guard down. It’s a short, 1–1.5 hour experience, looks way better on medium or higher settings, and honestly feels way more polished than you’d expect from a first-time, self-taught dev. Really excited to see what Mixogames makes next.

I can only add to the postive reviews for ABSUM. 10/10 for atmosphere, the sound effects both ambient and triggered were excellent at creating an eerie and unsettling aura (at exactly the right volume too). I did struggle to follow the linear path of the game in the first section, but that might just be my stunning ability to not see things directly infront of me. Durr. :) The rest of it was a straightforward path of mysterious storytelling, perfectly timed jumpscares, and spooky scenery! For this developers first ever full-length game, especially in the horror genre, they knocked it out of the park!

If you had about 80% less pointless jump scares then the ones that you have would be much more effective. 5 bucks for 30 minutes of gameplay is pretty steep but I see potential here so I'm not going to downvote. Also please consider not using ai art in the future, it looks like ♥♥♥♥.

I don't do horror games but after this game, I do now! Awesome game with fun design and simple enough to keep it challenging without being annoying. Loved it and would recommend it to anyone who likes horror games.

This was a really good game, the graphics were good and there was just the right amount of jump scares. I will definitely be recommending this game to others.
