About
The Mainframe is lost, and you might be the only person still able to fight the MegaCorps. Lucky you! Your mission: dismantle capitalism one computer server at a time.
Data is currency, money, moola 🤑 The MegaCorps have too much info on me, you, and everyone. You’ll be taking it back. After all, progs aren’t cheap!
Progs are powers, and the MegaCorps control them all. You'll be stealing their code, and using it against them. Expect consequences.
You didn’t think the MegaCorps were going to let you reach the Mainframe without a fight, did you? The cyberstakes are high. Get disconnected too many times, and your mission starts from scratch.
The Big Three’s defenses are strong, Hacker, but you can be stronger. Pick up new tricks on every run, use the MegaCorps' progs to change the world, and find that Mainframe!

868-back has taken over my life
Hacking Theme! The game has greatly expanded on story, art, vibe and game play, based on the already addictive first game.

Good gameplay, good music, great UI. Can take some time to absorb the jargon but well worth it at full price.
Truly our greatest contemporary game designer. 868 Back is further evidence of Michael's mastery in creating combinatoric tesseracts that surprise and delight without feeling random or contrived; I've only played a handful of hours but decided to leave a review early to assist in sales and will edit with more thoughts when I'm deeper in. Buy and expand your mind.
I'm so bad at this game, its great!
more like 868-CRACK amirite
This game has a shocking amount of depth: a vast trove of items with subtle interactions and combos, building on a very simple basic mechanic. its a great game; if you liked Into the Breach, you'll love this.
Brough's games don't always sell themselves particularly well, but I'll put my finger on the scale to tell you that this is an evergreen forever good rogue-like. Tense and dynamic decision making. Simple core concepts that keep unfolding and revealing the more you invest and experiment. Unless I'm extremely tired 868-HACK is all I want to play when I sit down for game-time.
Addictive and highly well-designed puzzle/roguelike game. Good soundtrack, too.
